In my previous post I wrote about our experience at Koka where we celebrated RG’s birthday and how disappointed we were with the main dish that dragged the entire experience down. This time, I will write about Familjen, another fine dining restaurant where we had dinner with the parents recently.
Location: Located at Arkivgatan 7, one can get off Valand tram/bus stop and walk towards the restaurant. It is a bit off from the main road but is not too far.
Place: Cozy, dimmed lights and the table is not too small for drinks and food.
Food: We started with soft and hard bread with a really good bread spread. It was made of creme fraiche, kaviar and probably some spices. I had deer for main dish, first time for me to try this meat and it was excellent together with broccoli and red cabbage! The portion was enough for us to get full. It was a lot better than Koka.
Service: Excellent. Our waiter was friendly and food waiting was fast.
Price: For the quality of food and service, the price is just right.
We can go back to Familjen again and that is a good feeling.
